Drunk Elephant skincare

I have been waiting to try the Drunk Elephant line but didn’t know where to start or which product would be good for my skin. If you would like to know more about my skin type; click hereI went ahead and bought The LITTLES, from here.

I have been using all the products for over a month now & this is what I think of the products on what is good for my skin and what isn’t.

Let’s start with what the brand says it stands for. Tiffany Masterson the founder, wanted to break away from ills of skincare, in her words; the Suspicious 6’ (essential oils, drying alcohols, silicones, chemical screens, fragrance/dyes, and SLS. This also means that they are good for all skin types, including sensitive. Knowing this makes me feel my skin is in safe hands so I thought why not try it.

I started with all of them simultaneously and they were exclusively my skincare for almost 6 weeks. I then included another product in my skincare which I will mention on my Instagram. You can follow my Instagram hereThank you if you did :).

Let’s start with cleansing. The Beste No. 9 Jelly cleanser is not harsh and does cleanse off all the makeup residue you have may after your first step of cleansing.

Next are the C-Firma Day Serum & B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum. I mix these two together & apply after cleansing and toning the face.

The serum application is then followed up by the C-Tango Multivitamin Eye Cream. It has a brightening effect and firms the skin around your eyes.

I topped this all up with the Protini Polypeptide cream. This very famous moisturizer helps replenish moisture back to the skin.

Next up is the product that started the Drunk Elephant line for Ms. Masterson; the Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil. I apply in this in the am sometimes after cleansing and go about my day (as most days I work from home).

During my pm skincare routine, I end it with the TLC Framboos Glycolic Night Serum. As the name suggests, it is packed with over five acids; all known to enhance the skin’s appearance.

Coming to what I would absolutely order a full size of? Most definitely the Glycolic Night Serum. It beautifully makes my skin so radiant in the morning! They suggest to mix it with the Marula Oil but I have not tried it yet but will try tonight :).

The cleanser is just a regular cleanser for me but it didn’t dry up my skin so brownie points for that.

I do love the combination of B Hydra and C Firma on my skin, so that seems to be coming on my skincare shelf in its full form. C-Tango eye cream I will not be purchasing as I prefer serums more than creams.

I am a little torn for the Protini moisturizing cream, I wouldn’t say it did wonders for my skin; although I know of many die-hard fans of it.

To conclude, I believe that skincare honestly comes down to what you can afford to pay for. There are drugstore brands that can work for your skin as well. But the LITTLES version is so good for anyone wanting to try the brand. I took it with me recently on a trip and I do see myself purchase another set for my next travel. It has been a good purchase for me.
