I have worked on all sorts of faces. Dry/Dehydrated/Patchy/Oily/Every type of combination and rarely do I come across a healthy skin type. Which is why over the years, I have gathered some products which I just cannot do without.
Let’s start with the Vitamin infused complexion prep spray from Urban Decay. I spray this before any makeup application. This is my primer, but in a spray form. I use this for myself as well. All the time. Makes redness & pores diminish and I find my make up stays much longer with it than without.
Next is Embyolisse. French and fantastic. It is an absolute favorite moisturiser for brides and photoshoots when I need instant hydration to dry skin.
The Urban Decay primer potion for eyes has been a cult favorite for many makeup artists and rightfully so. If you don’t want your eyeshadows to budge for at least 8 hours; this is the one for you. Perfect for women who love doing makeup before going to work. Clears out all tiny veins on your lids and gives a perfect base for eyeshadows.
Another product I seem to reach for is the Artistry Time defiance skin refinishing lotion. It helps to smoothen mature skin and to help glide makeup on.
Next up is the Smash box under eye brightener. This is an essential for when I do makeup for brides. Instantly awakens the under eyes skin before the application of a concealer. It has a light reflecting formula and can be used on any part of the face to brighten up.
Lastly, it is the Bioderma Sensibio sensitive skin cleanser. No surprises here. It is an absolute must for anyone to cleanse your makeup off. I always carry the 100 ml in my kit and stock 500 ml pump bottle for myself. Will not sting your eyes and is so safe for sensitive skins.
